    This Celtic block is machine embroidered on unbleached muslin with colorfast polyester embroidery thread. The design itself is 6" and it is stitched on a 12" square of fabric. It is stitched with a layer of batting as well as stabilizer backing so that there's a little trapunto effect with the redwork stitching. It would make a nice pillow or fit in well with other blocks for a quilt. (I have 2 of these). The picture is from my scanner so pretty accurate in color, which I would call turquoise.  It is machine washable.
